Phantom Touches

Close your eyes to hear the faint and powerful crackle of a tiny spark straining to ignite a remembrance of who we are and why we are here. If your fantasy, which should remain encased within your mind, begins to breach its bounds and draws itself like creeping fog toward my unloosened dreams, we must separate what seems impossible from powerful images that beckon toward a shared and future reality.

Dream carefully, then, and only when you truly want to hold me close in body, soul, and mind, because your longing draws me into your imaginal field, where my heart grows weary of phantom touches and rude awakenings.
